February 2018 Source Now Available
The February 2018 Source magazine has been posted for you to read. Check it out because it features a new layout design. Let us know if you like the new look for 2018.
This is our 2018 Election Issue, so you can read about the candidates for President-Elect, VP-Finance, and VP-North American Regions. Also, AACE Regions 1, 2, 4, 7, and 9 are electing Director-Region candidates. Check out the President’s Message on page 5 because Charles Bolyard, CFCC PSP FAACE, also explains two Constitution and Bylaws amendments that AACE members will find on the ballot, one will create a Marketing Associate Board and the other will create a Membership Associate Board. Click the link from page 36 to vote. The election opens Feb 1 and ends at 4 p.m. ET on March 15.
We welcome the Little Fish Design Company of Morgantown as our new graphic designer for both the Cost Engineering journal and the Source magazine. You will find all the familiar content you have been use to reading in Source magazine, it has been refreshed and given a new layout design for 2018. Check out a TED Talk about “the biggest risks facing cities―and some solutions.” The AACE Certification Department is seeking certification testimonials for marketing of the AACE certifications. Each testimonial received will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win both the 2017 and 2018 Annual Conference Session recordings (a $1,700) value. Participate and have a chance to be the winner.
Also in the February Source is a profile of Veronica Tafich who is being honored by the Women in Project Controls Committee. Project Time & Cost has named AACE member Andrew Reape as its President and CEO Atlanta. Past AACE President John Livengood, CCP CFCC PSP FAACE, presents an article about AACE in China in 2017.
Margaret Lucey, Jesse Lund, Avi Scheartz and Samarth Shah present the Bonus Technical Article, titled: Data-Driven Management for Digital Capital Projects. Ten AACE Sections have updates on recent programs and activities at the section level. Check out an updated list of Corporate and Organizational Membership Program (COMP) members, a listing of the current Board of Directors and AACE Headquarters staff. Check out the upcoming events listings, some of the main AACE products available through our Online Store and see what three technical articles are scheduled to be published in the March/April Cost Engineering journal.
