                                                                                                        Highlights from the 2019 AACE Conference

The presentation will provide excerpts from the 2019 AACE International Conference & Expo held in New Orleans, LA.  General topics will be Discussion of Common Scheduling Terms, Defending Against Loss of Productivity Claims, and Understanding the Elements of Constructive Acceleration. The intent is to provide a brief taste of the last conference while looking forward to this year’s conference.  Links will be provided to the full papers from the topics discussed in this presentation.

Speaker:   John Philbrick, PE, CCP, PMP / Director PMA Consultants

Mr. John Philbrick is a former Region 3 Director for AACE International.  He has extensive experience in project management for water/ wastewater, roadways, infrastructure, airports, architectural, manufacturing/ process, and theme park projects in southern and eastern United States.  His primary expertise is in project controls, project scheduling, scheduling development, implementation of P6 scheduling software, training, cost estimating, cost controls, and claims analysis.  John is a Master Scheduler with experience on Oracle/Primavera P6.  As an Authorized Trainer of Primavera Project Planner for the Enterprise, he implemented and integrated a portfolio of 450 projects for a $1 billion per year capital improvement program.  Mr. Philbrick has provided scheduling on major public projects in the preparation and maintenance of master program and project schedules.  Mr. Philbrick co-presented “Applying Historical Productivity Records and Scheduling to Establish Contract Time: A Novel Approach” at the Primavera Annual Conference in October 2007.  Mr. Philbrick wrote and presented a paper “Cost and Schedule Control at the Enterprise Level” at the 2011 AACE International Annual 55th Meeting.  Mr. Philbrick co-wrote and presented a paper “Portfolio Scheduling: How to Achieve Success and What Does Success Look Like?” at the 2017 AACE International Conference and Expo.
